We are pleased to help our clients care for their major home appliances. To make your service call request as rewarding as possible, we suggest you review the following check list for possible solutions you can try first. Call for service if these possible solutions do not resolve the problem you’re experiencing.
My appliance will not work at all.
Check the circuit breaker at the main electrical box. Has it tripped? If the circuit breaker has tripped, reset the circuit breaker by shutting it off and then turning it on again. If the circuit breaker looks okay and there is still a problem with the machine, then, call us for service.
My gas oven won’t light.
If the problem happens in the summertime at peak hours of electrical usage, such as suppertime with air conditioner running, the oven igniter may be experiencing a voltage drop from the normal 120 volts and will not ignite the gas. Signs of the lower-than-normal voltage will be apparent in the functioning of other machines in the home, such as motors straining or slow, dimming of lights, etc. We suggest trying the oven in the early morning at a low electrical usage time of day and see if the oven will ignite. If the oven still will not ignite, then call us for service.
